Riane Wubbenhorst, M.S., OTR/L
Riane Wubbenhorst, M.S., OTR/L is an energetic Raleigh-based occupational therapist who specializes in working with children and families in their natural environment. Her clinical approach is rooted in the understanding that children want to succeed, connect with others, and be accepted. As a mother, she has a passion for working directly with parents to establish daily routines and identify patterns or existing barriers that may inhibit their child’s performance. She utilizes empathy, authenticity, and evidence-based research to facilitate success for each family. She understands every child is unique and tailors each session to meet the child’s needs. Areas of interest include emotional regulation/behavioral management, neurodevelopment, visual perception, feeding, and self-care (bathing, toileting, and brushing teeth.) Specialized training/ certifications include DIRFloortime®, Kinesiotaping ®, visual perception, sensory integration, and feeding. Riane lives in downtown Raleigh with her husband and two young daughters. She enjoys traveling, landscaping, and planning spontaneous adventures.
